We manufacture soft iron gaskets in a wide range of configurations for a wide range of applications. We manufacture soft iron gaskets via punch press, custom die cut and waterjet cutting.
Soft iron gaskets gaskets are often used in high temperature and moderately high pressure applications. The metal gasket material should be softer than the flange material. Soft iron gaskets are often ring joint gaskets. Hardness for "soft iron" RTJ gasket is typically less than 90 Brinell. Like all metallic gaskets, soft iron gaskets require higher seating force and must be manufactured to very high quality standards.
